James 5:13-16

The Prayer of Faith
Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise. Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

I'm not sure why, but we waited for a specific invitation from one of the men in my bible study group before "calling the elders".

Last Thursday, after getting back from the PET scan, we met with three men from our church and prayed over Judi, asking God for healing. It was great for me to be reminded that not only can God heal Judi (which I have believed all along), but He will respond to our faith. Regardless of how God chooses to act, both Judi and I want our lives to glorify God.

That's our bottom line.
